One of the best sights of the Sierra's is the sunsets and sunrises. Now not all days are stunning but many are this last week we have had some of the best. Saturday was amazing with the sky turning a deep red. Absolutely stuning.

Camping at Lake Isabela

Lake Isabela was an excelent trip, evven though it was just for one night. The sunrise over the mountains cast a light that provided a good gradations in the ridges of the mountains and they were all at different heights creating quite a spectacular sight. We were camped behind a nature reserve and in the morning there were quite a few Turkey Vultures circling over head. On the way home we saw the Elk heard, the sounds that they make and the jousting was excelent.

Camping at Lake Isabela

We went Camping at lake Isabela with Ron and Tina and it was a great time. Here Ron was helping us to set up our tent after the winds died down. When we arrived the winds were extremely windy and we wondered just how long it would last and if we would get any sleap. The morning was cold, not terribly cold but definitly not warm. This was the first time that Josiah had been camping and wont be the last

I made breakfast, french toast, sausage(Turkey) and eggs. When its cold out and one has slept outside breakfast tast great and so did this breakfast.
Mr. Ron and Josiah were drawing on the ground.
While were driving to Lake Isabela Josiah was crying saying that he wanted to go Home, but as soon as we arrived he started having a wonderful time and really enjoyed himself. Now he seems ready to go camping again.

Picture from weed. Some weeds have some striking poses. I wish the flower had a bit more color.

Taking a break from Driving.

Flowers near a field going to Mount Shasta. The digital compressed the complete range of color, and the ends are not nearly as striking as the original, but still a great flower.
